We started off the weekend with the usual, some shopping! We went to Oxford Street and took a walk around the Paddington markets. Jo bought a couple of tops from the Ben Sherman shop and then we headed to Bunnings to check out some paint as we'd like to re-paint downstairs.
We had Tanya and Paul come down for the weekend and they arrived about 5:30 on Saturday and we had tickets to see Dave Hughes at the Enmore Theatre. We all managed to get ready on time and headed out to Surry Hills for some dinner. We managed to put our names down at Pizza e Birra and squeezed in a quick drink at The Clock next door.
We were super lucky to find a car spot in the labyrinth that is the back streets of Enmore and took our seats just before Dave Hughes came on at 9:45. He made everyone laugh for the entire hour and twenty minutes he was on stage! Tanya and Paul were roaring and they guy next to me nearly split his sides at one point! It's been ages since we've been to see a stand-up comedian and it was really good fun to spend the night laughing our arses off!
We had planned to get up early and head to the beach but we were all tired from the late night before that we only managed to leave the house at 10am! Bronte is an absolute nightmare to park and it took us a good 15 minutes of driving around to squeeze into a tiny spot, but at least we found one. All the cafes were packed but we got the last table at La Plage and enjoyed a great cappuccino and eggs & toast. Mmmm.
Bronte looked great today but the waves were shore dumps, although that didn't stop the hoards of surfers taking to the waves.

Another weekend on the beach huh? Are you trying to make us UK based people implode with jealousy!?
Do miss the Comedy Store visits we used to have. Although did sit on the front row at another stand up evening out... Did I get picked on? What do you think!? Did I get my own back - hell yes!!
