On the way to Ko Samui

Finally, the day had arrived. The packing was complete and we were off to Thailand for 2 glorious weeks. Not even political protests in Bangkok could put us off! We boarded our Thai Airways plan to Bangkok and we arrived after a good flight (even though my headphones didn't work) to get our connecting flight to Ko Samui.

At first I thoguht we were in trouble as some airports were closed due to protests and when we went to check in the lady said that they weren't running that flight today - however they had a flight that went in 45 minutes and they would book us onto that! Result! No 3 hour lay-over at the airport.

When we arrived at Anantara we were so ready to relax and we had chosen the right place - from the minute we drove down the flame light entrance way over a pond of water lily's to checking in sat down with an ice cold lemongrass drink and cool face towels we were in heaven.
