Day Two - Universal Studios

Day two in LA started at 7am with breakfast in bed, a habit we can't seem to give up. We bought some cereal and milk yesterday and enjoyed that with a coffee.

We booked tickets to Universal Studios today and our bus picked us up at 8.30 and took us to a central place to get on the right bus. The disorganisation at this "processing centre" was unbelievable. Jo was almost apocalyptic after about a 20 min wait to be directed to a bus. Quotes of "why wouldn't you have signs?" and "if it was me, I would have signs" from Jo went on for ages.

Finally, we got on the right bus and drove to Universal Studios. It was another hot and sunny day in LA and we made the most of it. We started off the day with the House of Horrors, followed by Studio Lot tour where they take you around the actual working studio.

Welcome to Amity Island

We saw all the fake streets of London, New York and *random* European street, took a drive down Wisteria Lane (Desperate Housewives) including one house (below) that was previously the Munster's house! What a lick of paint and a manicured lawn can do!

After that we took in the WaterWorld live show where stunt men and women shot each other and ride around on jet-skis. The rest of day involved me tackling the Jurassic Park water ride which was excellent! As a single rider I managed to skip nearly all of the queue and went straight to the front. The same happened for The Mummy rollercoaster (goes forward and then backwards!) - this was my favourite ride of the day.
